SEO Case Study of Digishotsbyvismaya
From Nowhere to 99th Position: My SEO Journey With Digishotsbyvismaya
When I launched my website Digishots by Vismaya, I was excited but also overwhelmed. I had just started my SEO journey one month ago, and honestly, I had no idea where to begin. Like many beginners, I thought having a website alone was enough. But by the end of August (28th Aug to be exact), my site wasn’t even visible in the SERP; it was nowhere to be found.
That moment hit me hard. I realized that if I wanted people to discover my work, I had to take SEO seriously. And so, I began my little experiment; optimizing my own website step by step.
The Steps I Took So Far
I didn’t try to do everything at once. Instead, I focused on learning and implementing the basics:
Keyword Research
I decided to focus on my primary keyword: digital marketing strategist in Calicut. This keyword represented who I am and what I want to be found for. Yes, I may have overused it in the beginning, but it taught me the importance of balance in SEO.On-Page SEO Fixes
I worked on adding proper title tags, meta descriptions, and headings. Before this, I didn’t even realize how much these small details mattered.Content Updates
I started writing content in simple English so it connects better with people, not just search engines. This shift in mindset made me feel like my website was slowly becoming more “human.”Technical SEO Basics
I submitted my sitemap, checked for indexing issues, and made sure my pages were mobile-friendly.Performance Improvements
I experimented with plugins to improve site speed and also learned about lazy loading for images.
The Results So Far
After one month of consistent effort, I checked SEMRUSH again. My website had finally appeared on 99th position of Google. That might not sound like much to others, but to me, it was proof that my work was starting to pay off.
From “nowhere in the SERPs” to 99th position in a month; it felt like seeing the first little sprout after planting a seed.
Why This Matters to Me
This journey is personal. It’s not about overnight success or quick wins. It’s all about learning, trying new things, and enjoying those little wins. For me, reaching 99th position is not a failure; it’s a starting point. It shows that even as a beginner, consistent effort can move the needle. My next goal is to keep refining my strategy, produce more valuable content, and one day, proudly say that my website is ranking on the first page. Until that time comes, I’ll continue to learn and share this experience.
What I’ve Learned So Far
Patience is everything – SEO takes time. Results don’t happen overnight, and that’s okay.
Balance matters – using a keyword too much won’t help; natural, valuable content works better.
Small fixes add up – meta tags, headings, mobile-friendliness, and site speed may seem tiny, but together they make a big difference.
Think human first, SEO second – writing in simple English and focusing on readers actually improves SEO too.
Consistency is the secret – even small efforts every week are better than doing nothing at all.
